Apptus have an aggressive plan for an international expansion and we are now looking for new Sales Representatives to reinforce our sales team. This is an opportunity to join a growing team of experienced, high achieving sales people in a successful and challenging environment. We are looking for one representative for our offerings oriented towards online directories with Europe as sales territory, and another sales rep for our e-commerce offerings with Scandinavia as prime territory.


The challenge

You will work with our products and solutions for the e-Commerce and directory publishing marketplaces in Europe. Your main role will be to find and close sales, to locate opportunities and develop new prospects in order to deliver quarterly quotas and achieve sales objectives. The mentioned segments have a great potential and we expect substantial growth in both areas the coming years.

The new positions are ideal for candidates who enjoy being in a sales situation, who are result oriented and believe in performance rewards for exceeding sales goals. You are success-driven; work well in a team environment and enjoy a dynamic and changing environment. The Sales Representatives at Apptus are in control of the entire sales cycle, from opportunity to closure, and you will be the primary contact throughout the sales process. Responsibilities

  • Find and develop new prospects in line with the business plan.
  • Serve as the primary contact throughout the sales process, from a prospect to a closed sale.
  • Create and maintain good relations with new and existing customers.
  • Present Apptus and our products for customers. Frequent travels around the European countries to meet with customers. Occasional travel to others regions might take place.
  • Represent Apptus at trade shows and industry events.
  • Achieve quarterly sales quotas and generate and qualify all leads and sales opportunities. Keep thorough records of customer interactions and provide quarterly sales projections on a weekly basis


Requirements

  • A couple of years of related experience, preferably from selling IT solutions, with a track record of visits and closed deals in Sweden and perhaps elsewhere in Europe or USA.
  • Ability to understand and explain the unique business advantage of technical products for each customer.
  • You can quickly investigate customer’s business processes and map out their ways of decision for an efficient sales process.
  • Outgoing and extrovert personality, easy to make contacts and know how to network.
  • Your biggest interest and devotion is to make business deals. Your ability to close deals is essential.
  • Understanding of technical products
  • Skills to coordinate a virtual team of technicians, project managers and business managers in order to answer RFI’s, RFQ’s, handle contracts and close a deal. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Fluency in English and Swedish is required.
  • Ability to work independently, but within a team environment with a confident, competitive, thorough and tenacious attitude.

 

Other merits

  • It is a merit if you have documented experience from the online media or online retail and/or have an established contact net within these areas.
  • Sales experience on an international level is considered a merit.
  • Knowledge of languages apart from Swedish and English is a plus.
  • A technical background is a merit but not a requirement.

Apptus have an aggressive plan for an international expansion and we are now looking for new Pre Sales Engineer/ Product Marketing person to reinforce our team. The person we are looking for will work 50 % as a Pre Sales Engineer and 50% as Product Marketing. This is an opportunity to join a growing team of experienced, high achieving people in a successful and challenging environment.

Pre Sales role

The challenge
Based in Southern UK, you will support the sales of the APPTUS eSales product in the UK. The candidate will work closely with the local sales team and with prospects and customers. Working in a customer-facing, consulting environment, you will be a fully contributing member of a highly skilled account team with a direct impact on developing new revenue streams for the business and ensuring customer satisfaction is achieved.

Responsibilities
Supporting Sales to position and demonstrate the functionality of our Apptus eSales product to merchandising/business and technical audiences. You will analyze customers’ merchandising and technical requirements, whilst taking a lead role on translating those requirements into sales and delivery actions. Working in ‘hands-on’ capacity, you will have the opportunity to apply your deep technical knowledge, along with your in-depth market and product knowledge to solve a range of customers’ business and technical challenges. You will be responsible for developing an in-depth understanding of the customer’s business, structure, practices, challenge and requirements, within the context of their industry. Acting as a ‘technical council’ to the sales team, you will collaborate on RFP/RFI responses, lead technical architecture sessions and present product capabilities through custom proof-of-concept (PoC) demonstrations, explain implementation processes and projects etc. 

Required skills and experience

  • Solid experience of technical pre-sales (i.e. client-facing, consultative sales support) gained within a commercial enterprise software or application platform technology environment.
  • Merchandising experience gained in the e-commerce / e-business sector.
  • Strong presentation, communication, interpersonal and public speaking skills.
  • Good social skills, nice & fun person, available to engage and service oriented.
  • Confident in dealing with a wide range of stakeholders, up-to and including CxO level.
  • Able to work independently with little direct supervision.
  • Experience in working with e-commerce software such as: Autonomy,  Endeca, Microsoft FAST, Omniture, Coremetrics, ATG etc is a plus.


Product Marketing Role

The challenge
The Product Marketing Specialist will be responsible for coordinating the design, creation and communication of a range of sales tools to support the understanding of key products and services. The successful candidate will work closely with product and sales teams to ensure that customers are kept informed of the latest opportunities presented by both the product and the market. They will work globally, interacting with customers, Public Relations and sales teams to promote business success stories and communicate product/customer testimonials. Frequent trips to our HQ in Lund (average 2 -3 days, 2 times per month).

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the definition and development of Apptus Product Roadmap. 
  • Perform market analysis within existing/potential customers/competition, identify market trends and unfulfilled needs, and identify unique benefits/features for Apptus Products and new business areas for growth.
  • Work closely with Sales and Business Managers to develop marketing launch plans
  • Develop the marketing objectives and strategies with emphasis on product positioning, range, extensions, modifications, services and packaging.
  • Define and implement the pricing strategy, and manage variable contribution margin
  • Work closely with Sales and customers in order to understand product acceptance both current and new product introductions
  • Provide our Marketing Communication people with content and pitch for producing sales material
  • Innovate and maintain new and efficient sales tools
  • Be our talking voice towards market analysts and experts
  • Represent Apptus at conferences and seminars and present our concepts and products


Required Skills and Experience

  • Ability to demonstrate and explain our software products & solutions
  • Good understanding of merchandising, online retailers’ processes and business.
  • Earlier product management or product marketing experience 
  • Ability to manage and simplify complexity
  • Technical sales experience would be an asset
