Recruitment Process
A recruitment process at Apptus starts with writing a description of the vacant position and deciding what requirements are needed. We advertise on our website and let our contacts in various areas know we are recruiting.

The process for advertised positions

When we receive an application for a vacant position, this is the recruitment process we follow
  • The application is reviewed by our Human Resource Manager who sends a confirmation of its receipt.
  • The Humans Resource Manager make a first screening for suitable candidates
  • The immediate superior of the vacant position, and other persons that will be involved with the employee, completes a second screening. We select candidates and invite them for the first interview.
  • At the first interview, candidates will meet the immediate superior and the Human Resource Officer, in some cases future colleagues depending on the type of position.
  • After the first interview we evaluate the candidates and invite a short-list of candidates for a second interview. They then meet the Human Resource Officer as well as other relevant Apptus people, depending on the type of position.
  • For some positions a candidate might be asked to complete a personality test performed by a professional recruitment firm.
  • When Apptus has decided on final candidate, a minimum of two references will be taken.
  • After completing the interviewing process, we inform all candidates of the result.
  • If we find a profile that might match future vacancies we keep the application for six months and review it if a relevant vacancy arises.

The process for spontaneous applications

Apptus is always looking to employ the right people; we are continuously recruiting even if we are not actively advertising vacant positions. Spontaneous applications are always welcome and we have employed several persons this way. When we receive an unsolicited application this is how our process works:
  • We read all unsolicited applications and send confirmation of receipt.
  • If a profile matches one of our vacancies, or the profile suits our line of work perfectly, we invite the applicant to an interview and follow the process described for advertised vacancies.
  • If we find a profile that might match future vacancies we keep the application for six months and review it if a relevant vacancy arises.
An applicant may be invited to an informal interview. Our selection criteria and procedures are intended to ensure that individuals are selected, promoted and treated on the basis of their relevant merits and abilities. Send your unsolicited application to us.

Our requirements

The majority of our employees have a higher academic degree - with excellent grades. A master thesis in an area of interest to us is an advantage, and of course experience that suits our line of work and the position that you are applying for. When recruiting new employees, capability and personality are the main factors we look at. We define capability as formal merits such as academic education and degrees, master thesis, working experience and references. The personal factors that matters to Apptus are features like creativity, intelligence and ambition. You should be persistent concerning your ideas and have a strong will to make a difference. We expect you to contribute to our success; in return we offer you an environment with technical and business challenges, great opportunities for personal development and influence. As we use English in all written communication it is essential that you are fluent in English, as well as in Swedish. Knowledge of other languages is welcome. If you have pursued studies at universities abroad this is interesting to us. In addition to formal merits we also appreciate experience that shows social ability and responsibility such as participation in associations or other commitments in your spare time activities.
