Recruitment process
A recruitment process at Apptus starts with writing a description of the vacant position and deciding what requirements are needed. We advertise on our website and official recruitment websites and let our contacts in various areas know we are recruiting.
The hiring manager makes a first screening for suitable candidates and then a Human Resource assistant and other people who will be involved with the employee complete a second screening. We select candidates and invite them for the first interview.
After the first interview we evaluate the candidates and invite a short-list of candidates for a second interview. For some positions a candidate might be asked to complete a personality test performed by a professional recruitment firm.
When Apptus has decided on final candidate, a minimum of two references will be taken. After completing the interviewing process, we inform all candidates of the result. If we find a profile that might match future vacancies we keep the application for six months and review it if a relevant vacancy arises.
The process for spontaneous applications
Apptus is always looking to employ the right people; we are continuously recruiting even if we are not actively advertising vacant positions. Spontaneous applications are always welcome and we have employed several people this way.
We read all unsolicited applications and if a profile matches one of our vacancies, or the profile suits our line of work perfectly, we invite the applicant to an interview and follow the process described for advertised vacancies.

Our requirements
The majority of our employees have a higher academic degree – with excellent grades. A master thesis in an area of interest to us is an advantage, and of course experience that suits our line of work and the position that being applied for. When recruiting new employees, capability and personality are the main factors we look at. We define capability as formal merits such as academic education and degrees, master thesis, working experience and references. The personal factors that matter to Apptus are features like creativity, intelligence and ambition. You should be persistent concerning your ideas and have a strong will to make a difference. We expect you to contribute to our success; in return we offer you an environment with technical and business challenges, great opportunities for personal development and influence. Since some communication within and outside the company is in English it is important that you are fluent in English as well as in Swedish. Knowledge of other languages is welcome. If you have pursued studies at universities abroad this is interesting to us. In addition to formal merits we also appreciate experience that shows social ability and responsibility such as participation in associations or other commitments in your spare time activities.

General about thesis work at Apptus
- The thesis work should be a concluding part of your academic studies
- You must have an appointed main examiner at your institution
- You should have an instructor/contact person at your institution and at Apptus
- The thesis work cannot start until it is approved by your examiner
- The thesis work is concluded with a written report which is presented orally at Apptus
- Our requirements for confidentiality might involve reservations concerning the content and presentation of the thesis work. This should be settled early in the thesis process. You will probably sign a confidentiality statement.
- The economic compensation will be decided before the thesis work starts and will be paid when the thesis work is finished
- It is recommended that you perform the thesis work on Apptus’ premises
